CAMPITELLI, flautista, nata a Lanciano (CH) è diplomata presso il Conservatorio di Pescara, presso la Hochschule di Winterthur (Svizzera) e laureata in “Discipline Musicali” presso il Conservatorio di Campobasso con votaz.”110 e lode con menzione”.
Vincitrice di numerosi concorsi, ha nel suo curriculum oltre 800 concerti sia da solista che in varie formazioni cameristiche tenendo esecuzioni in paesi Europei, Asiatici ed Americani riscuotendo unanime successo di pubblico e di critica.
É fondatrice del Quartetto di flauti “Image” e dell’Ensemble “Image” e ha svolto innumerevoli prime esecuzioni di composizioni dedicate. Le recenti tourneè sono state svolte in Cina (Henan – Sias International University) ed in India (Kerala – Kalaasaadhaka International Academy).
Ha inciso per la EDIPAN (Italia), Fabrik Music (Francia), effettuato registrazioni radio-televisive per programmi della RAI-Radiotelevisione Italiana, Radio Vaticana, Cemat e collaborazioni artistiche in campo teatrale con Michele Placido, Alessandro Haber, etc. Svolge intensa attività concertistica internazionale con un repertorio che spazia dalla musica classica alla musica contemporanea con l’utilizzo dell’intera famiglia del flauto. L’impegno nella ricerca musicologica la conduce a scelte esecutive verso un repertorio che comprende anche strumenti storici ed etnici. Scelta dalla Fondazione Adkins Chiti: Donne in Musica. Fiuggi (Italia), ha svolto da “studiosa-residente” il progetto europeo WIMUST finalizzato a promuovere la musicologia e talenti, il repertorio e le strategie per la piena attuazione della risoluzione 2009 dell’UE per le pari opportunità in ogni Stato membro. La sua ricerca musicologica per il repertorio flautistico, iniziata a metà del 1990, ha portato alla esecuzione di centinaia di opere di compositrici, da quelle per flauto solo a quelle cameristiche, fino a repertori orchestrali.
Attualmente è docente di flauto presso il Conservatorio di Musica di Foggia, sez. di Rodi Garganico, Italia.



VILMA CAMPITELLI,
flautist, performer and musicologist. Born in Lanciano (Italy) she has an intensive international concert activity with a repertoire ranging from classical to contemporary music.
She plays every kind of flute and is particularly interested in historical and ethnic instruments.
The repertoire includes classical and contemporary flute play, comprising the entire flute family (Piccolo, fl in Do, fl in Sol and fl Basso). She has vast professional experience as a soloist concerts and group concerts in various chamber music formations which she has done in different countries in Europe, Middle-Eastern countries and America, satisfying every criteria and gaining public aclaim. She worked for Edipan CD (Italy), Fabrik Music CD (France), for radio-television programmes at RAI Italy, and for theatre programmes with Michele Placido, Alessandro Haber, etc.
She has won various music competitions and she worked in various Italian orchestras. She havs also worked in Berlin Hall of Philarmony and in Bayreuth, for concerts and for recording CD in contemporary music. She has taught in interest and the effort to study the styles and traditions, which exist in different continents around the world. She has undertaken special studies in the history of music repertory and its various traditions.
She was chosen by the Fondazione Adkins Chiti: Donne in Musica. Fiuggi (Italy) to be a resident scholar for the European WIMUST projec to foster musicology and talents, repertoire and strategies for full implementation of the 2009 EU resolution for equal opportunities in each member State.
She is the founder and plays bass flute in the flute quartet “Image”, with which she performs mainly contemporary music, with countless premieres of dedicated compositions.
Her musicological research regarding the repertoire for flute instruments, and has led to the performance of hundreds of flute works by women for every kind of ensemble.
Vilma Campitelli is currently Professor of Flute at the Conservatory of Music of Foggia, Rodi Garganico, Italy.
